Galleria Dallas<\/a> opened in the early 1980s, offering the classic mall experience via hundreds of stores and restaurants rising above a year-round ice skating rink. Connected to the Westin Hotel, and centrally located near the intersection of I-635 and the Dallas North Tollway, it holds many memories for those across North Texas and beyond. Though a pandemic-era downturn took its toll, the shopping center, now managed by Trademark Property Company<\/a>, is in a phase of reinvention.<\/p>\n In late 2025, Netflix House<\/a> debuted at Galleria Dallas in the large northwest anchor spot vacated by Belk department store in 2020. Last year also brought extensive facilities updates, and the addition of a new entry corridor between the Westin Hotel and Bachendorf\u2019s Jewelers. Though Nordstrom has departed as of this month, new additions to the Galleria Dallas lineup<\/a> include Urban Planet by Charlotte Russe, Watson, Kids Foot Locker, and Le Petit Chef. New party rooms are open opposite the skating center, and the area surrounding the rink is set to receive new flooring, lighting, and seating in coming months. The rink\u2019s teal-colored glass enclosure will also be replaced, and given an off-white finish.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re excited to see these changes come to fruition,\u201d says General Manager, Angie Freed. \u201cWe believe they will make Galleria Dallas even more of a destination for returning shoppers and new visitors.\u201d<\/p>\n Capping the plan, digital directory boards and kiosks will be added throughout the building.
