Global law firm Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe<\/a> has appointed partner Clayton Holland to its public finance team in Houston.<\/p>\n Holland joins the firm following an eight-year stint at law firm Hunton Andrews Kurth. He has also spent time as an assistant attorney general in the public finance division of the Office of the Attorney General of the State of Texas. His practice focuses on advising banks<\/a>, underwriters<\/a>, issuers and non-profit borrowers on the full breadth of municipal finance transactions, including lease revenue financings, conduit financings, utility revenue financings, general obligation financings, tax credit bonds and special assessment financings. Additionally, Holland has experience guiding governmental clients on general public law issues such as open government, economic development and elections.<\/p>\n Partner Jerry Kyle commented: \u201cClay is a trusted advisor in Texas public finance, known for his deep command of state law issues and practical insight into regulatory interpretation.
