May 22 (UPI) — Authorities in Texas wrangled a llama on the loose just one day after an escaped kangaroo was captured in the same city.<\/p>\n

The Elmendorf Police Department said on Facebook<\/a> that an officer was driving on FM 327 about 2:40 p.m. Tuesday “when he came across a llama in the roadway.”\n<\/p>\n

The officer temporarily shut down the road while he and city field staff worked to wrangle the llama.<\/p>\n

The llama, named “Captain,” was safely reunited with its owner. The road was shut down for about an hour.\n<\/p>\n

The incident occurred just one day after police wrangled an escaped kangaroo in Elmendorf.<\/p>\n

“Yes, we know this comes right after yesterday’s kangaroo capture.
