HOUSTON, TEXAS \u2013 A Houston man is recovering after he was shot outside a corner store late Thursday night, and investigators say they have a strong lead on the woman suspected in the shooting.<\/p>\n
Officers responded to a shooting call around 11 p.m. Thursday at 6500 Bellfort Ave., in front of American Grocery Store. They arrived to find an adult male with a gunshot wound to the upper extremities.<\/p>\n
Houston Fire Department crews transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he underwent surgery. The victim was initially in critical condition but no longer has life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
Investigators say an adult female suspect was present at the corner store when an argument broke out. The altercation may have turned physical before the shooting occurred.<\/p>\n
Officers obtained surveillance video from the scene. Investigators say they have a strong identification of the suspect.<\/p>\n
No arrests have been reported at this time. The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
