{"id":306045,"date":"2026-05-23T15:31:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T15:31:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/306045\/"},"modified":"2026-05-23T15:31:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T15:31:08","slug":"texas-to-make-new-id-options-for-texas-driving-with-disability-participants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/306045\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas to make new ID options for Texas Driving with Disability participants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">Lubbock, Texas (KCBD) &#8211; The Texas Department of Public Safety, in a partnership with the Governor\u2019s Committee on People with Disabilities, has made changes to Texas driver licenses and identification cards under the Texas Driving with Disability Program to improve communication between law enforcement and Texas drivers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Customers participating with the program can have the \u201cCommunication Impediment\u201d or the new \u201cDeaf\/Hard of Hearing\u201d option placed on the front of their driver\u2019s license or identification cards.
