AEP Texas crews work on restoring power as rain persists.<\/p>\n<p>CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 More than 10,000 outages reported as storms pass through the Coastal Bend Saturday afternoon.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/outagemap.aeptexas.com\/?address=78415&amp;c=ExternalVisibility&amp;o=County\" id=\"isPasted\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">AEP Texas\u2019s outage map<\/a>, the largest number of outages was reported in Nueces County, where 7,649 customers were without power, with an estimated restoration time of 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Below is an outage breakdown as of 1:43 p.m. according to AEP:<\/p>\n<p>Nueces County \u2014 7,836 outages | Estimated restoration: 5:30 p.m.Bee County \u00a0\u2014 177 outages | Estimated restoration: 4:30 p.m.Refugio County \u2014 \u00a0736 outages | Estimated restoration: 4:30 p.m.San Patricio County \u2014 1,687 outages | Estimated restoration: 4:30 p.m.Aransas County \u2014 250 outages | Estimated restoration: 4:30 p.m.Jim Wells County \u2014 73 outages | Estimated restoration: 5 p.m.Live Oak County \u2014 11 outages | Estimated restoration: 4 p.m.Duval County \u00a0\u2014 27 outages | Estimated restoration: 5 p.m.                    <\/p>\n<p>The outages come after several days of rain and thunderstorms across the Coastal Bend this week. Drivers are urged to use caution on wet roads and avoid flooded streets.<\/p>\n<p>AEP crews continue working to restore power as additional rain chances remain in the forecast.
