We\u2019re honored to be named Station of the Year by the Texas Association of Broadcasters, and we remain deeply committed to serving Central Texas with reporting that reflects our commitment to in-depth, investigative journalism and first warning weather.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">KXAN Vice President &amp; General Manager Eric Lassberg<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The award, which was created in 2024 to recognize a Television station for overall excellence, will be presented to KXAN during an awards gala on Aug. 6.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cKXAN stands apart with bold, in-depth investigative journalism, live breaking news coverage and a commitment that goes beyond reporting to serve Central Texas,\u201d TAB said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">To win, TAB looked at KXAN\u2019s news, public\/community service, station promotions, local programming, recognition from industry\/community groups, participation with TAB and special efforts in other areas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThe station delivers journalism \u2013 and storytelling \u2013 that makes a difference,\u201d TAB said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
