The Texas Comptroller\u2019s office estimates shoppers will save $15.7 million in state and local sales tax on purchases made during these holidays.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">During the sales tax holiday, products displaying a WaterSense label or logo can be purchased tax free for personal or business use. These include showerheads, bathroom sink faucets and fixtures, and landscape irrigation controls.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">It also applies to lawn and garden products that help conserve water outdoors. Items qualifying for the exemption include soaker or drip-irrigation hoses; moisture controls for sprinkler or irrigation systems; mulch; and plants, trees and grasses. These items can be purchased tax free for residential use only.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">There\u2019s no limit to the number of water-efficient or water-conserving products you can purchase tax free.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Certain products displaying the ENERGY STAR logo can be purchased tax free, including air conditioners priced at $6,000 or less, refrigerators priced at $2,000 or less, ceiling fans, fluorescent light bulbs, dishwashers, dehumidifiers and clothes washers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/comptroller.texas.gov\/taxes\/publications\/98-1018.php\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/comptroller.texas.gov\/taxes\/publications\/98-1018.php\">Comptroller\u2019s website<\/a> for more details about the<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KCBD.
