Liz has a high basketball IQ and that will translate quickly to us having success on the floor.&#8221;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMurphy, a 5-foot-9 guard from Yackandandah, Australia, played two seasons for Akron in the Mid-American Conference. Last year, she played in 27 games, making five starts, and averaged 6.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. Murphy shot 37.6 percent from 3-point range and nearly 90 percent from the free throw line. Her 35 made threes ranked second on the squad.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nShe appeared in 15 games for the Zips in the 2024-25 season after joining the squad in January and averaged 2.0 points while playing nearly 10 minutes per contest.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMurphy prepped at Albury-Wodonga in Yackandandah.
