Let&#8217;s give you Nine Inch Nails&#8217; Closer! Cold Beer!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You could count on the waitress singing, too, and for a time be pretty much guaranteed to hear Zombie. It was a long-running, light-hearted joke with the regulars.<\/p>\n<p>We stopped going to Skoon-tangs after our favorite bartenders were let go, as the bartender is the heart and soul of a bar. Skooners did a few different rebranding attempts of sorts, but a dive bar is a dive bar is a dive bar.<\/p>\n<p>Why Skooners Is Closing After Such A Long Run<\/p>\n<p>According to a post from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Skoonerslbktx\/posts\/pfbid0vW78BF8Yb7wYDRBCCxwBXPzBH22CAGf14vNqyHLxsMuViFFvSo1kTDmXghP25vq3l\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Skooners<\/a>, it&#8217;s because one of the owners sadly passed away.<\/p>\n<p>It is with a broken heart that we announce that our captain, Mark Garland has gone on to warmer waters. He left us yesterday happy and comfortable with all his crew around.<\/p>\n<p>Folks who loved Skooners are invited to one final last call:<\/p>\n<p> We would like to invite all of our friends to come say a fond farewell to him on Sunday at 4pm at Skooners. And at this time we will also give our last call. [&#8230;]. Come say hello, give us your best stories, and raise a final glass to him.
