Two experienced campus leaders will take over new elementary school roles ahead of the 2026-27 school year.<\/p>\n
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 Corpus Christi Independent School District (CCISD) announced new leadership assignments at two elementary schools on Thursday as the district prepares for the 2026-27 school year.<\/p>\n
Amanda Vasquez-Kotch has been named principal of Mary Helen Berlanga Elementary School. District officials said Vasquez-Kotch previously served as principal of Stanley Kostoryz Elementary School and is returning to the campus where her career with CCISD began.<\/p>\n
Her experience with the district also includes serving as a teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal at Kostoryz Elementary.<\/p>\n
Mellissa Clearman has been named principal of Zachary Kolda Elementary School. Clearman has served as principal at Berlanga Elementary since 2021.<\/p>\n
Her previous experience also includes leadership roles as assistant principal at Foy H. Moody High School and Dorothy Adkins Middle School.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are grateful to these two exemplary leaders for their enthusiastic willingness to serve our district,\u201d Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez said in a statement.<\/p>\n
District leaders said the changes are part of ongoing efforts to support schools ahead of the new academic year.<\/p>\n
