CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas \u2014 One man is dead, and another was injured after a stabbing early Friday morning near Everhart Road, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.<\/p>\n
Officers were called to the 4600 block of Everhart Road around 1:41 a.m. in response to a reported stabbing.<\/p>\n
When officers arrived, they learned two men had already been taken to a local hospital with stab wounds. Police said one of the victims later died from his injuries.<\/p>\n
Detectives with the department’s Robbery\/Homicide Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.<\/p>\n
According to a preliminary investigation, the disturbance began at a nearby business. Those involved were separated and left the area. Police said a second disturbance later broke out in a nearby parking lot, where the two men were stabbed.<\/p>\n
Several people were detained and questioned by investigators. Police believe the people involved knew each other.<\/p>\n
No arrests have been announced.<\/p>\n
The investigation remains active as detectives continue to follow up on leads.<\/p>\n
