As summer rolls in, June is the perfect time for celebration, community, and fun in the sun! Mark your calendar for these upcoming June events with Arlington Parks, Recreation & Culture.<\/p>\n
Dance-a-thon \u2013 Saturday, June 6<\/p>\n
Dance the day away at The Beacon Recreation Center\u2019s Dance-a-thon! From 12 – 1:30 PM, enjoy a lineup of different dance instructors for a fun and casual groove. This event is for adults age 18+ and the cost to attend is $10.<\/p>\n
Register for Beacon\u2019s Dance-a-thon<\/a><\/p>\n Sensory Swim \u2013 Saturday, June 13<\/p>\n Head out to Howard Moore Play Pool from 9 – 11 AM for a supervised swim for children with special needs. This event is limited to 40 attendees. Children with special needs, their caregivers, and families are invited. Each individual needs to register and the cost to attend is $3 per person.<\/p>\n Register for Sensory Swim<\/a><\/p>\n Al Rollins Park Grand Opening \u2013 Saturday, June 20<\/p>\n Come celebrate the newest addition to our parks family! Join us for a morning of fun, community, and ribbon-cutting as we officially open Al Rollins Park, beginning at 9 AM. Walk the trail, play on the interactive and inclusive playground, and help us honor 70+ years of Al Rollins\u2019 dedication to Arlington.<\/p>\n Friday Night Splash Party \u2013 Friday, June 26<\/p>\n Join us under the stars at The Beacon\u2019s splash pad from 6-9 PM for an evening filled with music, bounce houses, and Gaga ball! Come hungry and ready to snack as we will have hot dogs, nachos, snow cones, and other food options available for purchase, Admission is free and open to all ages, so bring your friends and family for a night of high-energy splash pad fun!<\/p>\n
