A Texas restaurant chain is bringing its New York-inspired<\/a> restaurant to another part of the Houston area. Dallas’ Hudson House<\/a>, touted for the “world’s coldest martini,” is eyeing an expansion to the LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch shopping center in Katy.<\/a><\/p>\n

A permit<\/a> filed Thursday to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation reveals a new Hudson House is set to open at 2643 Commercial Center Boulevard, #B390. The space was formerly home to World of Beer. The Florida-based craft beer chain closed this location last spring, Community Impact reported<\/a>, citing a “tough economic environment.” According to the permit, the project involves a tenant remodel combining two existing spaces-the former restaurant and a hair salon-into a single, 5,586-square-foot restaurant concept.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the only new Hudson House location in the works. Nearly two weeks prior to registering the Katy location, the chain also filed a TDLR permit<\/a> for a new spot at The Shops at Highland Village, located about 30 miles outside Dallas. The proposed 5,965-square-foot restaurant will be at 3640 Justin Rd.<\/p>\n

Hudson House hasn’t publicly announced the planned pair of new restaurants. Once open, these would be the chain’s 11th and 12th locations in Texas, according to its website.<\/p>\n

The upscale eatery, which is one of six Vandelay Hospitality Group concepts, made its debut in Dallas in 2017.<\/a> Serving a taste of New York in Texas, the restaurant pairs “East Coast comfort food inspired by the rich culinary history of the Hudson Valley with the warm, sophisticated yet approachable atmosphere of a classic neighborhood hangout.”<\/p>\n

The menu features a curated East Coast oyster list, raw bar favorites like cut snow crab claws and a signature “tuna tower,” alongside salads, sandwiches, and sweets.To drink, guests can expect signature cocktails and wine in addition to Hudson House’s fan-favorite, ice-cold martini lineup.<\/p>\n

Construction for the Highland Village location is expected to wrap up between July and November, while the Katy location is slated to be renovated between August and December.<\/p>\n
