Two teenagers were taken to the hospital late Friday after their vehicle plunged into a ravine in West Austin, authorities said.<\/p>\n
Emergency crews responded around 9:26 p.m. to the 2900 block of Westlake Drive, where a car with three occupants had driven off the road, according to Austin-Travis County EMS. Officials said two of the occupants, both teens, were trapped inside the vehicle when first responders arrived.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It took more than an hour for emergency responders from three different agencies \u2014 ATCEMS and the Austin and Westlake fire departments\u00a0\u2014 to extricate the occupants. They were freed at about 10:40 p.m.<\/p>\n
The two teens were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center with injuries described as non-life threatening. The third person in the car did not require transport to the hospital, officials said.<\/p>\n
