A Dallas-based real estate firm plans to build a $130 million industrial campus in McKinney after buying 118 acres along U.S. Highway 75.<\/p>\n
Formation Interests LLC purchased the property at the northeast corner of U.S. 75 and Spur 195, also known as Laud Howell Parkway, on May 22.<\/p>\n
The company plans to develop a six-building, 715,000-square-foot industrial campus called Gateway at Formation Park, according<\/a> to a Dallas Business Journal report<\/a> republished by WFAA.<\/p>\n The project could begin construction this summer, pending city permits and contractor selection.<\/p>\n The first phase would include three buildings totaling 450,000 square feet and could open next summer. Formation expects to complete both phases within about 36 months.<\/p>\n McKinney Growth Push Continues<\/p>\n The project adds another major commercial development to McKinney\u2019s growth pipeline.<\/p>\n Formation described<\/a> the site as a future corporate campus designed for businesses looking to expand into the North Texas market.<\/p>\n The development comes as McKinney continues to attract major real estate and infrastructure investment.<\/p>\n As previously reported<\/a> by The Dallas Express, the funding needed to begin a major expansion at McKinney National Airport was secured last year.
