In the May 2 election in the race for Place 1, Jerrel W. Reynolds<\/a> received the most votes with 41.9% of 984 ballots cast. Trailing Reynolds was Brandy McCool<\/a> with 24.1% of the votes, Sarosh Jafri with 23.07% of the votes, and Luiz Dunham with 10.7%.<\/p>\n With no candidate receiving a majority vote, the race for Place 1 headed to a runoff election between Reynolds and McCool.<\/p>\n The current seat holder is interim council member Charles Warner, who was appointed June 8 <\/a>after the resignation of former council member Brian Thompson<\/a> on Dec. 22.<\/p>\n Early voting runs from June 1 through June 9 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m..
