Ever wondered what it’s like to be a principal? Plano ISD and Plano Chamber of Commerce are teaming up for the second annual Principal for a Day.<\/p>\n

The Plano Chamber of Commerce<\/a> is bringing back the Principal for a Day program this fall in partnership with the Plano Works Leadership Foundation, PISD Education Foundation and Plano ISD<\/a>.<\/p>\n The program aims to provide business and community leaders \u201cwith a unique opportunity to experience public education through the eyes of a campus principal.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cPrincipal for a Day<\/a> is about creating meaningful connections between business and education,\u201d said Kelle Marsalis, president and CEO of the Plano Chamber. \u201cBy giving community leaders a firsthand look at the realities of school leadership, we can build stronger partnerships that support student success and strengthen our community for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n Ideal applicants include C-suite executives, senior-level managers, business owners, entrepreneurs, and civic leaders, according to a news release.<\/p>\n Applications are open now<\/a> and close July 31. Selected participants will be notified during the first week in September. A virtual kickoff meeting will take place in the weeks prior to the event on October 1. Participants will do either a full or partial school day on October 1, followed by an optional After Class Reception at the Robinson Fine Arts Center.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ever wondered what it’s like to be a principal?
