May brought more reshuffling of Austin\u2019s dining scene, with a wave of new cafes and bars opening across the city while several longtime food and beverage businesses announced closures.<\/p>\n

The month\u2019s openings were favorable for\u00a0coffee<\/a> shops, pastries and daytime concepts. Pastries include croissants, pain au chocolat and rotating cakes.
