EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 A fire station in East El Paso was chosen to be part of a countrywide tour honoring America’s 250th birthday and the American flag. <\/p>\n
On Monday, representatives from the life insurance company Woodmen Life stopped by El Paso Fire Station 20, located at 8301 Edgemere Blvd., near Burges High School, to present first responders with a special Betsy Ross 250 U.S. flag.<\/p>\n
This El Paso fire station was the last stop in a tour that included seven states. <\/p>\n
As part of the ceremony, the City of El Paso contributed an artifact representing the Borderland community to a time capsule project in Omaha, Nebraska, which will be opened either in 25 or 50 years.<\/p>\n
