LUBBOCK, Texas (June 2, 2026) \u2013 For the first time in Lubbock Christian University women’s tennis history, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) recognized Lady Chap student-athletes accolades, as Andrea De Bernardo<\/a> and AnaMaria Zoric<\/a> were recognized with ITA All-America honors in doubles for the 2025-26 season.

\nThe criteria for ITA All-American singles honors are finishing in the top-20 of the final ITA National Singles Rankings. All-American recognition is awarded to doubles teams who finish in the top 10 of the final ITA National Doubles Rankings.

\nAndrea De Bernardo<\/a>, a junior marketing major from Caracas, Venezuela, delivered another historic season for Lubbock Christian University women’s tennis in 2025-26, helping lead the Lady Chaparrals to a 15-7 overall record, an NCAA South Central Regional appearance and an 8-2 finish in Lone Star Conference play. De Bernardo earned First Team All-Lone Star Conference honors in singles and teamed with sophomore AnaMaria Zoric<\/a> to become the first doubles pairing in program history to earn Lone Star Conference Doubles Team of the Year recognition. Ranked No. 69 nationally in singles and No. 3 nationally in doubles alongside Zoric at season’s end, De Bernardo finished the year 19-11 overall in singles play, including a 14-7 dual-match mark while primarily competing at the No. 1 line. The nationally elite doubles tandem of De Bernardo and Zoric compiled a 19-3 overall record, including an 18-2 dual-match mark, a perfect 10-0 conference record and an 8-1 mark against nationally ranked opponents. De Bernardo closed her junior campaign with 60 career singles victories and 66 career doubles wins, continuing to establish herself among the most accomplished players in program history.

\nAnaMaria Zoric<\/a>, a sophomore biochemistry major from Dubrovnik, Croatia, assembled one of the premier seasons in NCAA Division II women’s tennis. Zoric earned ITA South Central Region Women’s Player to Watch honors after finishing the season ranked No. 39 nationally in singles and No. 3 nationally in doubles alongside Andrea De Bernardo<\/a>. She claimed All-Lone Star Conference recognition in both singles and doubles, including Second Team singles honors and Doubles Team of the Year recognition with De Bernardo after the duo produced a 19-3 overall doubles record, an 18-2 dual-match mark and an 8-1 record against nationally ranked competition. In singles play, Zoric tied for the team lead with 22 victories while posting a 16-5 dual-match record and a 15-5 mark at the No. 2 position. Off the court, Zoric excelled academically with a perfect 4.00 GPA as a biochemistry major, earning Lone Star Conference All-Academic Team honors while continuing to build one of the strongest all-around r\u00e9sum\u00e9s in the region. Through two collegiate seasons, Zoric owns a 40-13 career singles record and a 36-14 doubles mark.

\nThe LCU women’s program made their second NCAA postseason appearance in program history (second consecutive season) and finished 15-7 on the season. Of their seven losses, two were against NCAA Division I opponents and four were against nationally ranked programs. They finished the season with the No.48 national ranking.
