Forecasters are predicting storms\u00a0in the region on Wednesday, June 3, which could spark power outages and\u00a0road delays.<\/p>\n

The National Weather Service (NWS<\/a>) says things will start\u00a0tame. Throughout the morning, it will be mostly sunny with a high near 89 degrees. However, after 1 p.m., folks could see lightning and hear constant thunder.<\/p>\n

There’s a 40% chance of rain in the Alamo City after 1 p.m. The likelihood for showers remains through the\u00a0nighttime hours, just as the Spurs game kicks off at 7:30 p.m. A low of 73 degrees is expected with winds at about 10 miles per hour.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Farther north, the storm clouds could be more prevalent. San Marcos is currently looking<\/a> at a 45% rain chance, while New Braunfels and Fredericksburg are floating between a 50 and 65% risk. Counties could see anywhere from 2 to 4 inches of rainfall. It’s a part\u00a0of a larger wet pattern the state is experiencing.<\/p>\n

“In South-Central Texas, June typically represents a transition between a more active and stormy spring to a drier summer,” the NWS<\/a> said. “However, heavy rain with flash flooding potential is as common of a threat in June as it is in May.”<\/p>\n
