When officers arrived on the scene, they located the victim with visible trauma and clearly deceased.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The victim was identified as Duc Vo, 59.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">APD Homicide Detectives and Austin Forensic Science Crime Scene Specialists responded to the scene. Detectives confirmed with city employees that they were emptying a trash can when they discovered the victim, who appeared to be bloody.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The victim showed signs of blunt force trauma, and the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Detectives believe Vo was assaulted and placed into the trash can early Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The case is being investigated as Austin\u2019s 26th homicide of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 KWTX.
