Margarito (Mago) and Hayden P\u00e9rez opened the brick-and-mortar evolution of their trailer on North Lamar Boulevard last fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Paprika brims with flavor and positive energy. In addition to the suadero and al pastor, I recommend the best chicken tinga tacos I&#8217;ve ever eaten.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe flavors are so simple, but they just hug you,\u201d the self-taught Perez told me of\u00a0the recipe he created to emulate his mother, whom he calls \u201cthe most talented cook I know, without wanting to be a cook.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Austin&#8217;s second entrant on the list is not new, but its breakfast tacos are a recent(ish) addition. Chef Mariela Camacho opened Comadre Panader\u00eda in 2023 and was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statesman.com\/entertainment\/dining\/article\/food-wine-best-new-chef-austin-comadre-panader-a-21037581.php\" data-link=\"native\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">named a Food &amp; Wine Best New Chef in 2025<\/a>.
