The location is expected to open in late fall.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">The restaurant will be 3,430 square feet and will feature a double drive-thru with a canopy and patio seating. The location is expected to employ 70 people.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">Several of the chain\u2019s top executives attended the groundbreaking ceremony earlier this week, along with The Colony Mayor Richard Boyer, elected officials and fans of the chain, which White Castle calls \u201cCravers.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">The company marked the occasion with a ceremonial \u201csprinkling of the onions\u201d on the spot where the restaurant\u2019s grill will be located. \u201cWe\u2019ve wanted to get to Texas for a long time,\u201d CMO Jamie Richardson said in a statement. \u201cGrandscape in The Colony is exactly the kind of community we love being a part of, and we can\u2019t wait to start serving hot, tasty Sliders to our newest Cravers in the Lone Star State.\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-component=\"related-article\" class=\"RelatedArticle\">Related:<a class=\"RelatedArticle-RelatedContent\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nrn.com\/quick-service\/chick-fil-a-is-bringing-back-its-best-selling-seasonal-offering-of-all-time\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Chick-fil-A is bringing back its best-selling seasonal offering of all time<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">The Slider is, of course, White Castle\u2019s signature product.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">White Castle has frequently generated strong sales results and considerable attention with its big moves into new states.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\"><a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nrn.com\/quick-service\/white-castle-debuts-in-arizona-but-limits-hours-after-record-setting-demand\" target=\"_self\" data-discover=\"true\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The typically 24-hour chain had to cut hours in Arizona in 2019<\/a> to give its workers a breather because they were so busy after the first location opened there. Its opening in Florida in 2021, the first location for the chain there in more than 50 years, <a class=\"ContentText-BodyTextChunk ContentText-BodyTextChunk_link\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.restaurantbusinessonline.com\/financing\/white-castle-opens-florida-massive-lines\">generated long lines around the block<\/a>. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">\u201cThis is a brand people love, and we\u2019re excited to see that kind of enthusiasm come to The Colony,\u201d Boyer said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"ContentParagraph ContentParagraph_align_left\" data-testid=\"content-paragraph\">The family-owned White Castle operates 336 restaurants. The company is based in Columbus, Ohio, and is one of the country\u2019s oldest restaurant chains.
