Assault against a public servant, criminal trespass and resisting arrest, search or transport <\/p>\n
On May 22, a non-affiliated person was arrested at the UTA Intramural Fields for criminal trespass, assault on a public servant and resisting arrest, UTA Police Lt. Jim Randles said in an email. <\/p>\n
Assault against a public servant is a third-degree felony punishable by jail time between two and 10 years. Perpetrators may also receive a fine not exceeding $10,000. <\/p>\n
Criminal trespass at a higher education institution with a previous conviction is a class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $4,000, up to one year in jail or both. <\/p>\n
If the offender has not been previously convicted of trespassing on higher education property, the offense is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $2,000, confinement in jail of up to 180 days, or both. <\/p>\n
Resisting arrest, search or transport is a class A misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $4,000, up to one year in jail or both. <\/p>\n
Possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 2, and possession of drug paraphernalia <\/p>\n
On May 30, a UTA student was arrested at the Heights on Pecan Apartments parking lot for possession of controlled substances and marijuana, Randles said. <\/p>\n
Possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, in which the substance is two ounces or less, is a class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine not exceeding $2,000, up to 180 days in jail or both. <\/p>\n
Possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 2, in which the substance is one gram or more but less than four grams, is a third-degree felony punishable by jail time between two and 10 years. Perpetrators may also receive a fine not exceeding $10,000. <\/p>\n
Criminal trespass and criminal mischief causing substantial inconvenience <\/p>\n
On May 24, two non-affiliated juveniles damaged UTA property inside the Life Science Building, Randles said. The investigation is ongoing. <\/p>\n

On June 1, a UTA student and a non-affiliated person were arrested during a drug investigation at Heights on Pecan Apartments, Randles said. Several non-affiliates were also cited for alcohol and e-cigarette violations. <\/p>\n
Possession of a controlled substance in penalty group 2, in which the substance is under one gram, is a state jail felony punishable by imprisonment of 180 days to two years in jail, with the possibility of a fine not exceeding $10,000. <\/p>\n
False alarm or report at an institute of higher education <\/p>\n
On May 30, an unknown suspect falsely activated a fire alarm at the Meadow Run apartment complex, Randles said. <\/p>\n
False alarm or report at an institution of higher education is a state jail felony punishable by imprisonment of 180 days to two years in jail, a fine not to exceed $10,000 or both. <\/p>\n
