ARLINGTON, Texas\u00a0\u2013 UT Arlington men’s basketball is set to open the 2025-26 season on Monday night against UNT Dallas at the College Park Center at 7 p.m. CT. Fans are highly encouraged to wear white and participate in the White Out at the CPC. In the event fans can’t attend, the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+<\/a>, and on the radio on the Varsity App, 102.5 FM and KTNO 620 AM by Will Conerly. \nThe Mavs enter year three under head coach KT Turner<\/a>. The Mavs return two scholarship players from last season’s roster in forward Raysean Seamster<\/a> and forward\/center Cameron Jackson<\/a>, while adding 11 new faces.

\nUTA takes on UNT Dallas for the third time in program history, having defeated the Trailblazers 90-55 at the College Park Center last November, and looks to open the season with a win for the third straight year after defeating UNT Dallas in last season’s opener.

\nMonday’s game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Doug Anderson (play-by-play) and Parker Eidson (analyst) on the call.

\nThe Mavs are looking to rebound from the 2024-25 season that saw the Mavs finish 13-18, including a 9-4 mark at home at the CPC.

\nSenior forward Raysean Seamster<\/a> and sophomore forward\/center Cameron Jackson<\/a> are back in Arlington and both are set to build off of their 2024-25 campaigns that saw them average 11.4 and 2.0 points per game, respectively.

\nSeveral new faces are in the fold, including forward Tyran Mason<\/a>, who joins UTA following a year at North Texas, Arkansas transfer Cash Chavis<\/a>, Troy transfer Marcus Rigsby, Jr.<\/a>, junior college transfer Bahsil Laster<\/a> (Harcum College), Northern Colorado transfer Marcell McCreary<\/a> and South Dakota State transfer Stoney Hadnot<\/a>. In addition to the transfers, there are also a quartet of freshman \u2013 guard Jordan Lowery<\/a>, forward\/center Amari Reed<\/a>, guard Jayden Smoot<\/a> and guard Augustine Youseff.

\nUNT Dallas enters play having already hit the floor twice this season, falling 79-69 at home to Dallas Christian College on Oct. 30, and then beat Wiley University on Saturday, 76-68, also at home in Dallas.

\nThe Trailblazers are led by former Dallas Mavericks standout, Josh Howard, who is in his sixth season in charge of the program.

\nUNT Dallas has 11 Texas natives on its roster, and an additional pair from Chicago that went to high school in DFW.
