EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 An 82-year-old woman in Central El Paso says an ongoing water line problem in front of her home has left her without access to her driveway for more than a month, and she worries conditions could worsen as monsoon season approaches.<\/p>\n
Camilla Romero, who lives off Turney Drive, said the issue has persisted despite repeated attempts to reach El Paso Water.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere’s still water coming out and still nothing has been done and this is the result. I don’t have a driveway,\u201d Romero said.<\/p>\n
Romero said the problem began on April 23 and that additional damage followed a week later on April 30.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis problem started April the 23rd down the street and it still hasn’t been fixed,\u201d Romero said.<\/p>\n

I’m 82 years old,\u201d Romero said.<\/p>\n Neighbor Blanca Kirkwood said other residents have also tried to contact the utility.<\/p>\n Emily Schmalz reports on a water line break affecting an 80-year-old’s access to her home. KFOX<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u201cWell, my husband called them too, because, I mean, we see all the damage here,\u201d Kirkwood said.<\/p>\n In a statement, El Paso Water said two main breaks were reported, one on April 23 and another on April 30, and that both were repaired within hours. <\/p>\n The utility said recent rain has delayed the project, but contractors are expected to begin compacting sand on Monday, with work expected to be completed within the next two weeks.<\/p>\n
