For the 10 days leading up to our 10th anniversary block party<\/a>, we\u2019re counting down 10 things we love about Plano by celebrating The Good Stuff. What is the good stuff, you ask?\u00a0<\/p>\n With six days left, we\u2019re talking Plano ISD and its school board.\u00a0<\/p>\n This year, Plano ISD\u2019s Board of Trustees was named one of the top 5 school boards in the state for support for educational performance and educational improvement projects, commitment to a code of ethics and maintenance of harmonious and supportive relationships among board members<\/p>\n The board leads a school district chalk-full of awards. This year, 884 students received College Board National Recognition awards<\/a>, given to those with a high GPA and either top 10% in their high school on the PSAT or a score of 3 or higher on two or more AP exams.<\/p>\n We cover lots of Plano ISD students getting recognized, like when Plano ISD students were named top competitors in a national middle school STEM competition<\/a> or when students\u2019 art was put on display at the ArtCentre of Plano.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n
