The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth<\/p>\nThe Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth (the Modern) has announced participation in Museums for All, a national initiative promoting accessibility for U.S. museums.<\/p>\n

As a program of the Institute of Museum and Library Services<\/a> (IMLS) federal agency, Museums for All offers free or discounted admission of up to $5 to registered participants in the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).\u00a0<\/p>\n The Modern will offer free admission for up to four people, including special exhibition tickets, to anyone presenting a SNAP benefits card at the admissions desk.\u00a0<\/p>\n Museums for All states its purpose as \u201copen[ing] museum doors to all, helping museums serve their entire community.\u201d According to the program\u2019s website<\/a>, since launching in 2014 more than 15 million people have been served by the initiative, and museums have reported \u201csignificant shifts\u201d in visitor demographics.<\/p>\n Museums for All lists more than 1,600 participating U.S. museums, including 96 Texas institutions. The San Antonio Museum of Art joined Museums for All in 2020, and Meow Wolf Houston<\/a> announced participation in the program in January 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n Other participating Texas art museums include the Art Museum of South Texas in Corpus Christi; the Briscoe Western Art Museum, The Contemporary at Blue Star, and the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio; The Contemporary Austin; the El Paso Museum of Art; The Grace Museum in Abilene; the International Museum of Art & Science in McAllen; the Longview Museum of Fine Arts; the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas; and the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts.\u00a0<\/p>\n
