{"id":32641,"date":"2025-11-03T03:00:12","date_gmt":"2025-11-03T03:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/32641\/"},"modified":"2025-11-03T03:00:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-03T03:00:12","slug":"texas-longhorns-wr-ryan-wingo-receives-positive-injury-update-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/32641\/","title":{"rendered":"Texas Longhorns WR Ryan Wingo receives positive injury update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Don&#8217;t look now, but the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.longhornswire.usatoday.com\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Texas Longhorns<\/a> might be starting to put things together at the right time of the season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">After dropping two of their first five games, the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/football\/ncaaf\/teams\/texas-longhorns\/3488\/\" data-autotag=\"822d9954-d86b-4626-bf51-6dd81a3c1a32\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">Longhorns<\/a> have rattled off four straight wins get to to 7-2 on the season, and put themselves right back into the mix when it comes to the SEC Championship Game hunt with a potential spot in the College Football Playoff waiting for them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">While that hot streak has been fraught with some injury news, the Longhorns seemingly got a positive update on Sunday when it comes to one of their best offensive players. <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/petenakos_\/status\/1985099775386026319?s=46&amp;t=uffgPxtZ4CZulAMHuo_P2g\" data-t-l=\":b|z|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\" rel=\"nofollow\">According to On3&#8217;s Pete Nakos,<\/a> wide receiver Ryan Wingo is not expected to miss any time going forward after being forced to exit Saturday&#8217;s game against Vanderbilt with a thumb injury.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Wingo has been the No. 1 receiver for the Longhorns this year, hauling in 31 passes for 593 yards and five touchdowns. He left Saturday&#8217;s game after kicking things off with an electric 75-yard touchdown on the first offensive play of the game for Texas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Saturday was also the first game back for QB Arch Manning, who was in concussion protocol the week before, but was deemed healthy enough to play vs. the <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sportsdata.usatoday.com\/football\/ncaaf\/teams\/vanderbilt-commodores\/3477\/\" data-autotag=\"c76f5c86-6620-46dd-85af-589ce15e2829\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-t-l=\":b|e|k|\u2691u\" class=\"gnt_ar_b_a\">Commodores<\/a>.
