If you’re a sports fan in Dallas, chances are you’ve heard of The Ticket.

The all-sports talk show has been on the Dallas airwaves since the ’90s, and with the station since Day 1 were The Musers.

George Dunham, Craig Miller and Gordon Keith have been on the air for over 30 years, talking Cowboys, Rangers, Mavericks, Stars and more on a daily basis.

Article continues below this ad

Here’s what to know about the record-setting, award-winning trio known as the Musers.

1. When to listen

The Musers can be heard from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on weekday mornings on 96.7 FM/1310 AM The Ticket (KTCK-AM). They’ve recently undergone a scheduling change for the first time in three decades, scaling their hours back from 5:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. They attributed the change to being able to “get a little more sleep.”

“I know it seems odd to change in our 30th year,” Keith posted at the time of the change. “But we want to keep doing this for as long as we can, and this helps us do that.”

Article continues below this ad

They have, however, taken their show to podcast form, starting “The Musers, The Podcast” in 2025.

2. Ticket Day 1-ers

Not only are the Musers the longest-tenured sports morning show in D-FW, they’re the longest-tenured morning show of any kind in D-FW. Dunham and Miller were part of the original Ticket lineup when the station began in 1994, and soon took over the morning show before adding Keith in 1995. They’ve maintained the same core of hosts ever since.

3. One from each

Just how long have The Musers been on the air? Long enough to have seen a championship for every major Dallas pro sports team since they started.

Article continues below this ad

They saw the Rangers’ World Series in 2023, the Mavericks’ title in 2011, the Stars’ Stanley Cup in 1999…

Heck, the Musers have been on the air so long, they got to talk about not one, but two Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl wins. As far, far back as those were.

RELATED: Well played! The Ticket shares its winning formula 30 years after kickoff in Dallas

4. The Great Gordo

Gordon Keith speaks on air at The Ticket Sportradio’s Ticketstock 2016 at the Irving Convention Center in Irving, Texas on Feb. 20, 2016.

Rose Baca/The Dallas Morning News

If the Musers have a secret sauce, it’s the many talents of one Gordon Keith — a.k.a., the Great Gordo.

Article continues below this ad

Keith serves as cultural and comic relief for the Musers, which includes a daily news segment and an “8:40 bit” that’s often spent visiting with his world-famous character, the Fake Jerry Jones. But it’s not just Jones that Keith can impersonate; he’s become known for doing Tiger Woods, Jason Kidd and other prominent sports figures, to varying degrees of embellishment. That’s along with his own notorious character creations like The Ticket Mouse or Dr. Carlton Maxwell.

Keith’s got more than just yuks, though. For example, his touching Mother’s Day tribute that he once wrote for The Dallas Morning News still makes the rounds on social media every year on Mother’s Day.

Keith can really do it all, though the 8:40 bit, particularly on a Cowboys Monday, is truly something to behold.

5. Kings of Dallas sports radio

You don’t do three decades of top-tier sports talk without getting some accolades, aside from the ratings that the Musers have been dominating all this time.

Article continues below this ad
