Police said an argument broke out among guests at a family gathering on Bretshire Drive early Sunday; a suspect was detained at the scene<\/p>\n

HOUSTON \u2013 Houston police<\/a> are investigating a deadly shooting that happened during a crawfish boil and family gathering in northeast Houston early Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

Officers responded to a shooting call around 1:30 a.m. to the 7700 block of Bretshire Drive. Police said an altercation occurred between a suspect and two adult male victims who were attending the gathering.<\/p>\n

According to investigators, the suspect shot both men. One victim was shot in the chest. The second victim was shot in the neck and chest.<\/p>\n

Police said a woman drove one of the victims to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition. The other victim was pronounced dead at the scene, behind a vehicle parked in front of the home.<\/p>\n

One of the victims is 22 years old, police said. The second victim has not yet been identified.<\/p>\n

Investigators said the motive for the argument remains unknown. A suspect was detained.<\/p>\n
