Jayden Daniels will make his triumphant return to the field tonight for the Sunday Night matchup between the Washington Commanders<\/a> and Seattle Seahawks<\/a>. The reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year missed last week due to a hamstring issue and also missed two previous games this season with a knee sprain.<\/p>\n

Washington is feeling the pressure after slipping to 3-5 and falling to third in the NFC East. With Daniels back on the field, the Commanders will attempt to climb back into the postseason picture. They will take on a 5-2 Seahawks team tonight that entered the day tied with the Rams<\/a> for the top spot in the NFC West. <\/p>\n

The Seahawks are 2.5-point favorites and -142 odds on the moneyline<\/a> on DraftKings Sportsbook<\/a>. The Commanders are +120, with the game total set at O\/U 48.5 points.<\/p>\n

Jayden Daniels Under 42.5 Rushing Yards (-115)<\/a><\/p>\n

While he has plenty of arm talent, Daniels\u2019 dual-threat ability is what makes him so special as a quarterback. He\u2019s averaging 42.2 rushing yards on 8.8 carries per game this year, which is a slight scale back from his 52.4 average last year. Because he\u2019s returning from injury, don\u2019t expect him to rush as much tonight.<\/p>\n

In addition, Seattle has been excellent at stopping the run this season. The Seahawks have allowed just 530 rushing yards, which is the fewest in the NFL, and are giving up just 3.3 yards per carry. Seattle\u2019s allowed just two rushing touchdowns and one run of more than 20 yards this year.<\/p>\n

Daniels has recorded less than 42.5 rushing yards in three of five games this year.<\/p>\n

Jayden Daniels Over 228.5 Passing Yards (-112)<\/a><\/p>\n

The good news is that Daniels can find success in the pocket. His stats aren\u2019t eye-popping with 206.2 yards per game, but he threw for as many as 326 yards last year and cleared this margin in seven games. This season, the Pro Bowl QB has posted passing totals of 233, 200, 231, 211, and 156 in the game he left early.<\/p>\n

For all the strengths of Seattle\u2019s rushing defense, it has had some struggles stopping the pass. Through its first seven games it ranks 13th in passing touchdowns conceded and 23rd in passing yards allowed. C.J. Stroud threw for 229 yards against Seattle last week, Trevor Lawrence had 258 yards the week prior, and Baker Mayfield had 379 passing yards. Seattle has also especially struggled to defend mobile quarterbacks this season.<\/p>\n

Daniels may not be in his full form as a scrambler, but he should have success escaping the pocket and finding a pass.
