Police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public\u2019s help to identify a man accused of robbing an El Paso motel at knifepoint in the Lower Valley. <\/p>\n
Crime Stoppers of El Paso is assisting the El Paso Police Department in seeking information about the suspect as part of its Crime of the Week.<\/p>\n
The robbery happened on May 7, at 3:57 a.m. at the Quality Inn at 900 N. Yarbrough. <\/p>\n
Investigators said a man armed with a knife walked into the motel, jumped over the counter and threatened an employee. Police said the suspect took money from the cash drawer, then jumped back over the counter and left.<\/p>\n
The suspect fled in a red SUV on Gateway East, according to investigators.<\/p>\n
He was described as about 5-foot-11 with a medium-to-large build. Police said he was wearing a light-colored hooded jacket, a black facemask, black gloves, dark-colored pants and brown shoes.<\/p>\n
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-8477 (TIPS) or submit a tip online at www.cselpaso.org. Crime Stoppers said tipsters will remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward if the information leads to an arrest.<\/p>\n
