{"id":328255,"date":"2026-06-08T23:12:50","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T23:12:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/328255\/"},"modified":"2026-06-08T23:12:50","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T23:12:50","slug":"craig-international-announces-200m-mixed-use-project-for-former-globe-life-hq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/328255\/","title":{"rendered":"Craig International announces $200M mixed-use project for former Globe Life HQ"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMcKinney-based development company <a href=\"https:\/\/craiginternational.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Craig International<\/a> is redeveloping the former Globe Life headquarters campus into a $200 million mixed-use development called Rowlett Station.<\/p>\n<p>In a nutshell<\/p>\n<p>Craig International formally announced the project June 8, nearly a week after McKinney City Council members voted to <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/dallas-fort-worth\/mckinney\/government\/2026\/06\/04\/council-approves-zoning-for-multifamily-development-in-west-mckinney\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">rezone a portion of the campus<\/a> for multifamily development. The campus is located on nearly 58 acres at 3700 S. Stonebridge Drive and includes 300,789 square feet of existing office space, according to a news release.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;&gt;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/craiginternational.com\/team-members\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">David Craig<\/a>, founder and CEO of Craig International, said the former campus offers \u201cexceptional scale, location and optionality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur vision is to create a transformative mixed-use destination that brings together residential, retail, office and lifestyle experiences in a way that creates long-term value for the community, our partners and future tenants,\u201d he said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The details<\/p>\n<p>The campus will undergo a phased redevelopment that could exceed $200 million in total ad valorem value, according to the news release. Rowlett Station\u2019s preliminary master plan includes apartments, retail and office space.<\/p>\n<p>Plans also include a network of hike and bike trails that connect Stonebridge Drive to Eldorado Parkway and run throughout the development. (Courtesy Craig International)Quote of note<\/p>\n<p>McKinney Mayor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinneytexas.org\/1167\/Council-Members#:~:text=Biographies-,Bill%20Cox,-Mayor%0APhone%3A%C2%A0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bill Cox<\/a> said Craig International has played a \u201csignificant role\u201d in shaping the city\u2019s growth and identity \u201cfor decades.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDavid Craig and his team have consistently delivered projects with exceptional standards, vision and execution,\u201d Cox said in a statement. \u201cRowlett Station is another example of the kind of investment that strengthens our economy and enhances our community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The background<\/p>\n<p>The campus formerly served as Globe Life\u2019s headquarters before it relocated to <a href=\"https:\/\/communityimpact.com\/dallas-fort-worth\/mckinney\/business\/2025\/02\/03\/insurance-firm-globe-life-to-relocate-expand-within-mckinney\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Henneman Way<\/a> in 2025.
