(KKTV) &#8211; On Wednesday, the El Paso County Sheriff\u2019s Office announced the arrest of a man on charges related to the abuse of two seven-month-old infants.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The reported abuse happened in unincorporated El Paso County on the 11000 block of Garrett Road. Medical staff at a local hospital found the children had multiple fractures to their ribs and legs which they assessed as non-accidental.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Detectives with the Sheriff\u2019s Office responded to the hospital and the Department of Human Services took custody of the children. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The children\u2019s father, 19-year-old Samuel Maldonaldo Montano, was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail on May 28. He was charged with two counts of Child Abuse and two counts of 1st Degree Assault.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cAnyone who abuses a child commits a betrayal of the most vulnerable members of our community,\u201d said El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal.\u201cThese crimes are reprehensible, and my Office has zero tolerance for anyone who inflicts harm on a child.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Montano was released on a $25,000 bond.
