El Paso-based defense technology company ARC Aerospace <\/a>announced plans to expand its manufacturing footprint with a new 16,500-square-foot advanced manufacturing facility aimed at increasing domestic production of autonomous systems, drone technologies and defense components.<\/p>\n

The facility, known as Adelante II: Advanced Manufacturing Center, will be located on the west side of El Paso and is expected to create approximately 28 engineering and advanced manufacturing jobs.<\/p>\n

It’s unknown exactly where in West El Paso it would be located. <\/p>\n

According to the company, the new center will serve as its flagship production hub for a range of aerospace and defense technologies, including flight computers, brushless motors, electronic speed controllers, power distribution systems and gimbal stabilization systems used in autonomous aircraft and drone platforms.<\/p>\n

The facility will also manufacture the Control Actuation System for ARC Aerospace’s low-cost counter-drone missile platform, a component designed to support emerging air defense and counter-unmanned aircraft operations.<\/p>\n

Company officials say the investment is intended to strengthen domestic defense manufacturing capabilities while helping meet growing demand for autonomous systems and precision-guided technologies.<\/p>\n

As the nature of warfare continues to evolve, victory will increasingly depend on our nation’s ability to rapidly design, manufacture and field autonomous systems at scale,” said Ahsan Choudhuri, co-founder and CEO of ARC Aerospace. “Adelante II represents a strategic investment in America’s defense industrial base and a commitment to ensuring that our warfighters have access to affordable, high-performance systems produced in the United States.<\/p>\n

The facility will incorporate artificial intelligence, advanced robotics and digital engineering technologies as part of ARC Aerospace’s Digital Trinity manufacturing architecture. Company officials said the center will utilize Diana Cognitive robotic systems to support electronics manufacturing, assembly, inspection and production optimization.<\/p>\n

ARC Aerospace also credited the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) for supporting the company’s expansion efforts.<\/p>\n

The company also announced collaboration with semiconductor and artificial intelligence company SiMa.ai, whose Modalix MLSoC platform will provide edge AI capabilities for ARC Aerospace’s autonomous drone and missile systems.<\/p>\n

Officials say Adelante II will support regional economic growth through partnerships with El Paso-area manufacturers.<\/p>\n

Initial operations at the facility are expected to begin in the late first quarter of fiscal year 2027, with full operational capability anticipated by the second or third quarter of fiscal year 2027.<\/p>\n

Founded in El Paso, ARC Aerospace specializes in the development and manufacturing of autonomous systems, missile technologies and counter-drone defense platforms. <\/p>\n
