Now Plano-based\u00a0Ribbon Communications has launched a portfolio of \u201cNetwork in a Box\u201d solutions to address those needs\u2014enabling organizations to quickly restore critical communications during disruption or failure and rapidly add networking capabilities \u201cwhen time is of the essence.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ribbon (Nasdaq: RBBN<\/a>), a leader in real-time communications technology, IP routing, and optical networking solutions, said its solutions enable the rapid deployment of compute and networking capabilities in ruggedized hardened mobile enclosures across a wide number of critical markets. <\/p>\n

Offered in both off-the-shelf and customized configurations, Ribbon Network in a Box comes in a wide range of sizes\u2014from formats the size of a suitcase to data center versions as big as an industrial railway car.<\/p>\n

Highly customizable and rapidly deployable, the solutions allow teams to \u201crapidly establish communications, maintain connectivity, and operate with local-site independence when existing networks are unavailable or lack capability,\u201d Ribbon said.<\/p>\n

The \u201chighly secure\u201d communications platforms enable both high speed data and voice networking services, while supporting multiple physical networking and access technologies. No existing network connectivity is required, allowing for continued operation in the most challenging environments.<\/p>\n

Haim Moscovich, VP of integrated defense solutions at Ribbon, said Network in a Box \u201ccombines extensive redundancy to guarantee high degrees of resiliency, with rapid, on-demand deployment to ensure secure, continuous operations in any condition.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cProven in the field across thousands of deployments, it delivers reliable, real-time performance when it matters most,\u201d he added in a statement.<\/p>\n

Supported first responders in 2023 Turkey earthquake<\/p>\n

Ribbon said its Network in a Box solution has been deployed \u201cin the most extreme conditions across multiple real-world scenarios with military agencies in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.\u201d One key deployment supported first responders during the February 2023 magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Turkey, the company said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn today\u2019s digitized battlespace, information superiority creates the decisive advantage, making communications capabilities more important than ever,\u201d said Jason Brumfield, VP of U.S. federal sales at Ribbon. \u201cThat\u2019s where NiaB comes in, helping organizations and individuals quickly reconnect and access critical information in even the most challenging situation.\u201d<\/p>\n
