We get pretty excited when a new restaurant opens up in Lubbock, but I think there are a couple of businesses that would totally dominate our city if someone out there were brave enough to build them.<\/p>\n

1. A Massive Indoor Lazy RiverPhoto by Vivu Vietnam<\/a> on Unsplash<\/a><\/p>\n I’m not about a water park. Nope. Just a huge, indoor, lazy river.<\/p>\n No slide. No stupid wave pools. No kids screaming and launching their little bodies onto your head.<\/p>\n Giant tubes and enough room for us to float in circles for three hours, even though we have way better things to take care of.<\/p>\n 2. This would go SO HARD.<\/p>\n Nobody would ever leave hungry, and the restaurant would run smoothly because it’s very hard to argue with Grandma. An Errand Concierge ServicePhoto by rupixen<\/a> on Unsplash<\/a><\/p>\n Would you pay a monthly fee to have your most mundane errands run for you?<\/p>\n I know I would.<\/p>\n Things like mailing packages, sitting on hold with customer service, or even making returns to Walmart when you buy the wrong size pants or whatever. Think about it.<\/p>\n 5. The Public Pool Lubbock Actually DeservesPhoto by Edgar<\/a> on Unsplash<\/a><\/p>\n Alright, this one isn’t much of a secret.<\/p>\n I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m not going to stop until it happens.<\/p>\n Affordable. Clean. Family-friendly. No gimmicks. No insane luxury resort nonsense.<\/p>\n Just a big pool for everyone to enjoy. It can’t be that hard.<\/p>\n 6. The Nap ClubPhoto by Shane<\/a> on Unsplash<\/a><\/p>\n Private rooms with comfy chairs, soft lighting, and cozy blankets.<\/p>\n A place reserved for naps.<\/p>\n Tell me that wouldn’t stay busy as hell.<\/p>\n Look, guys. We aren’t asking for much.
