Two people were shot and killed at an apartment complex in Hurst on Thursday afternoon, police said.<\/p>\n

Hurst police officers and firefighters responded to the shooting<\/a> about 3:20 p.m. at the Whispering Run Apartments in the 600 block of Bellaire Drive, police said in a news release.<\/p>\n

When first responders arrived, they found a male and a female who died from gunshot wounds inside an apartment, police said. Authorities did not share further details about what led to the shooting or the ages of the victims.<\/p>\n

The investigation is ongoing, and police said they do not believe there is a threat to the public.<\/p>\n

The people who died will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner\u2019s Office<\/a> after next of kin have been notified.<\/p>\n
