The new spot is expected to open in spring 2026, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/r\/1FguYK1cYU\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">a social media post<\/a> from the restaurant.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hurtado Barbecue has previously made Texas Monthly&#8217;s list of best barbecue and was recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfaa.com\/article\/life\/food\/north-texas-bbq-restaurants-rank-among-southern-livings-best\/287-29048072-78e2-40a2-9744-39f409b28251\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">given honors<\/a> by Southern Living. It&#8217;s also the official barbecue of the Texas Rangers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI come from a Hispanic background. I grew up eating refried beans and tortillas every day. And, my dad loved to barbecue,&#8221; founder Brandon Hurtado said<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfaa.com\/article\/features\/originals\/dont-blame-us-if-this-makes-you-cheat-diet-mexicue-might-worth-guilt-hurtado-barbecue-vaqueros\/287-c5b360f1-c41f-4425-93c4-93f8a2582e8e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" id=\"isPasted\">\u00a0back in 2021<\/a>. &#8220;So when I got older those two things seemed to really mesh for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Along with the barbecue staples, Hurtado serves birria tacos, Mexican cornbread, brisket tostada, and Mexican street corn.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Founder Brandon Hurtado and his family live in Argyle, making the expansion to the fast-growing suburb particularly significant.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;After years of raising our family in Argyle, coaching sports here and delivering food to friends and family nearby, we\u2019ve finally been blessed with the opportunity to open our FIFTH Hurtado Barbecue location in the heart of (Argyle),&#8221; Hurtado said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hurtado has permanent locations in Arlington (205 E. Front St.), Dallas (900 S. Harwood St.), Fort Worth (1116 8th Ave.), and Mansfield (226 Walnut Creek Dr.).
