The 8th Annual Plano Food + Wine Festival<\/a> turned Legacy West into a playground for foodies and wine lovers alike, drawing thousands who were more than ready to sip, sample and celebrate their way through an afternoon of delicious indulgence.<\/p>\n

Presented by Kroger Delivery, the festival took place on Nov. 1, transforming the upscale district into a vibrant hub of culinary creativity, fine wine and live entertainment.<\/p>\n

A Feast For The Senses<\/p>\n

Guests spent the afternoon on a self-guided food safari, sampling signature dishes from 15 of North Texas\u2019 most popular restaurants, each fighting for the coveted People\u2019s Choice Award and, of course, eternal bragging rights.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With the Food Tasting Pass in hand, festivalgoers enjoyed four full hours of culinary treasure-hunting: peach BBQ ribs from Tommy Bahama, rich and creamy pasta from Lombardi Cucina Italiana, a slice of Texas tradition with Haywire\u2019s pecan pie, cheesy crinkle fries courtesy of Shake Shack, burgers from Son of a Butcher and Ford\u2019s Garage\u2019s, True Food Kitchen\u2019s \u201cnot so fried\u201d chicken sandwich (crispy without the guilt) and sweet scoops from Amorino Gelato, including crowd-pleasers like tiramisu and strawberry.<\/p>\n

In total, more than 30 restaurants served up offerings that showcased the depth and diversity of the Plano dining scene.\u00a0But in the end, it was Tommy Bahama and its signature ribs that took home the People\u2019s Choice Award.<\/p>\n

Wine, Spirits And Discovery<\/p>\n

For wine enthusiasts, the wine tasting pass provided 20 one-ounce pours from over 100 varieties, featuring both local labels and international selections. Landon Winery drew crowds with its sweet raspberry wine and crisp pinot grigio, while Piezo Winery impressed with an award-winning cabernet sauvignon and pinot noir that became festival favorites.<\/p>\n

Those seeking something stronger found plenty to enjoy with spirits from Western Son Distillery, Pinhook Bourbon, Beat Box Beverages, Round 2 Spirits and other premium brands. Together, the beverage lineup offered a perfect balance of sophistication and fun.<\/p>\n

Beyond tastings, the festival featured live cooking demonstrations presented by The Lombardi Family Concepts Culinary Stage. Attendees watched chefs share tips and techniques while exploring dozens of local vendors and sponsor activations scattered throughout Legacy West. Photo opportunities, artisan booths and interactive experiences rounded out the lively scene.<\/p>\n

A Celebration Worth Savoring<\/p>\n

Ticket options ranged from the VIP Pass with exclusive perks to individual food or wine tasting passes, making the event accessible to casual sippers and seasoned connoisseurs alike.<\/p>\n

By day\u2019s end, the Plano Food + Wine Festival showed why it continues to draw a crowd year after year \u2014 a relaxed mix of good food, good wine and the easygoing spirit that makes North Texas such a fun place to eat and drink.<\/p>\n
