\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFORMALLY SENTENCED IN AUGUST. ALSO TONIGHT, THE BUSY TEXAS ROADHOUSE LOCATION ON THE OUTER LOOP IS BACK OPEN AFTER AN EMPLOYEE WAS SHOT INSIDE LAST NIGHT. EDWARD SMITH EXPLAINS HOW THE INCIDENT HAS LEFT THE COMMUNITY SHOCKED AND LEADERS LOOKING FOR ANSWERS. THIS TEXAS ROADHOUSE ON OUTER LOOP IS BACK OPEN FOLLOWING A CHAOTIC SCENE THURSDAY NIGHT WHEN A GUNSHOT WENT OFF AT DINNER. TEXAS ROADHOUSE OUTER LOOP LOCATION WAS CLOSED FOR LUNCH FRIDAY, NOT REOPENING UNTIL 3 P.M. AS RESTAURANT STAFF WERE PROVIDED EMOTIONAL SUPPORT FOLLOWING A SHOOTING THE NIGHT BEFORE. POLICE SAY 24 YEAR OLD RONALD WINTER WAS TRYING TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT WITHOUT PAYING WHEN HE WAS STOPPED BY AN EMPLOYEE. WHEN THE EMPLOYEE GRABBED WINTER\u2019S ARM. POLICE SAY WINTER REACHED FOR HIS POCKET AND WHEN THE EMPLOYEE TRIED TO TACKLE HIM TO THE GROUND, POLICE SAY A GUN SHOT WAS FIRED, HITTING THE EMPLOYEE IN THE SHOULDER. THIS IS JUST AN INCIDENT WHERE SOMEONE DECIDED TO TO TAKE IT A LITTLE FURTHER, AND IT\u2019S SCARY. THE RESTAURANT IS IN METRO. COUNCILWOMAN JENNY MULVEY, WOOLDRIDGE\u2019S DISTRICT. SHE SAYS THE EMPLOYEE INJURED WAS THE RESTAURANT\u2019S MANAGER. WOOLDRIDGE IS LOOKING AT ALL OPTIONS TO PREVENT SHOPLIFTING, AND THOSE WALKING OUT OF RESTAURANTS WITHOUT PAYING. THERE\u2019S REGULAR MEETINGS WITH THE SENATE DIVISION, THE SIXTH DIVISION AND SOME OF THE RETAIL STORES THAT ACTUALLY TALK ABOUT THAT RETAIL THEFT AND HOW CAN WE HELP MINIMIZE THAT? AND PART OF THAT CONVERSATION, UNFORTUNATELY, MAY LEAD INTO SOME RESTAURANTS INTO THAT MIX AS WELL. FOR NOW, SHE\u2019S REMINDING THE COMMUNITY WHAT HAPPENED IS RARE. IT\u2019S NOT SOMETHING THAT IS A REGULAR BASIS THAT IS HAPPENING AT OUR RESTAURANTS, THAT SOMEBODY FEELS THAT IT\u2019S OKAY TO TAKE A GUN OUT AND SAY, I\u2019M NOT GOING TO PAY FOR THIS AND\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n
