{"id":335482,"date":"2026-06-14T00:46:07","date_gmt":"2026-06-14T00:46:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/335482\/"},"modified":"2026-06-14T00:46:07","modified_gmt":"2026-06-14T00:46:07","slug":"el-paso-to-crown-new-miss-sun-city-usa-miss-sun-city-teen-usa-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/335482\/","title":{"rendered":"El Paso to crown new Miss Sun City USA, Miss Sun City Teen USA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14\/CBS4) \u2014 El Paso will crown its next local ambassadors Saturday evening as the 2026 Miss Sun City USA and Miss Sun City Teen USA pageants take over the El Paso Convention Center.<\/p>\n<p>The show began at 5 p.m. with contestants competing in three categories: interview, swimsuit\/activewear, and evening gown.<\/p>\n<p>The evening will also recognize the outgoing titleholders, Miss Sun City USA Dannie Kaufman and Miss Sun City Teen USA Aspen Armendariz, during their farewell walks before they pass the crowns to the new winners at around 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Organizers say the event is a starting point for contestants aiming for Miss Texas USA, and it follows weeks of preparation that included workshops and community mentorship. The program is led by Pageant Director Katie Scott and, according to organizers, continues to emphasize civic pride and confidence in the Borderland.
