(WHNS)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cThis decision follows a thorough evaluation of the business and was not made lightly,\u201d the spokesperson wrote in a statement. \u201cWe are currently evaluating the future of the On The Border brand and exploring a range of strategic options.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Franchises in California, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota and South Korea will remain open and operate independently.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.veritaglobal.net\/ontheborder\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">filed for bankruptcy<\/a> in 2025 and was then bought by the Texas-based company Pappas Restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 Gray Local Media, Inc.
