Shaw received 644 votes in Comal County and 308 votes in Guadalupe County, while Ryan received 419 votes in Comal County and 159 votes in Guadalupe County.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/1781414890_720_thumbnail.jpeg\" width=\"100%\" alt=\"chart visualization\"\/><\/p>\n<p>How we got here<\/p>\n<p>Ryan, Shaw and candidate Steven Voges were vying for the District 6 seat in May. In both <a href=\"https:\/\/app.enhancedvoting.com\/results\/public\/comal-county-tx\/elections\/ComalCountyMay2026General\/ballot-items\/01000000-1055-5442-e42a-08dea615724f\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Comal<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guadalupetx.gov\/page\/elections.history\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Guadalupe<\/a> County, Ryan received 372 votes, or 32.95% of votes and Shaw received 511 votes, or 45.26% of votes, according to official May 12 voting results. Voges received 246 votes, or 21.79% of votes.
