{"id":336252,"date":"2026-06-14T19:21:41","date_gmt":"2026-06-14T19:21:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/336252\/"},"modified":"2026-06-14T19:21:41","modified_gmt":"2026-06-14T19:21:41","slug":"kyle-jean-womens-basketball-coach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-tx\/336252\/","title":{"rendered":"Kyle Jean &#8211; Women&#8217;s Basketball Coach"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Texas Tech head coach\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/coaches.aspx?rc=3654\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"3654\" target=\"_blank\">Krista Gerlich<\/a>\u00a0has announced the addition of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/texastech.com\/staff.aspx?staff=4101\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"4101\" target=\"_blank\">Kyle Jean<\/a>\u00a0as the associate\u00a0strength and conditioning coach.<\/p>\n<p>Heading to Lubbock with nearly a decade of experience as a strength coach, Jean spent the last six years at Notre Dame where she primarily worked with baseball, women&#8217;s basketball and women&#8217;s golf.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to her work with the programs listed above, Jean assisted with men&#8217;s basketball, volleyball, swimming, football and softball. She was also responsible for Notre Dame&#8217;s strength and conditioning intern program.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to Notre Dame, Jean spent nine months working for Big 12 foe Kansas. During her time in Lawrence, Jean worked with a majority of Kansas&#8217; athletic programs including both basketball programs, KU&#8217;s baseball and softball programs as well as Jayhawk volleyball.<\/p>\n<p>A 2012 graduate of Texas A&amp;M, Jean earned her undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences. In 2014, Jean finished her graduate assistantship at Mary Hardin-Baylor where she graduated with her masters of exercise and sport science.<\/p>\n<p>Jean has already arrived in Lubbock and has begun working with the Lady Raiders ahead of the 2022-23 season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Texas Tech head coach\u00a0Krista Gerlich\u00a0has announced the addition of\u00a0Kyle Jean\u00a0as the associate\u00a0strength and conditioning coach.
