\u201cLike the five midscale trains before it, Train 6 has been delivered safely and ahead of schedule, boosting our ability to supply the world with the critical energy it needs,\u201d Cheniere said on Friday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe continue to work closely with Bechtel, our engineering, procurement and construction contractor, and expect to complete the full seven-train, 10-plus-million-tonne-per-annum (mtpa) expansion later this year,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n
In March 2025, Cheniere\u00a0achieved<\/a>\u00a0substantial completion of the first liquefaction train at the Corpus Christi Stage 3 expansion project, while the company\u00a0completed<\/a>\u00a0the second liquefaction train in August,\u00a0the third train<\/a>\u00a0in October, the fourth train<\/a>\u00a0in December, and the fifth train <\/a>in March this year.<\/p>\n Cheniere and Bechtel are also building the CCL midscale Trains 8 and 9 project, a second expansion under construction at Corpus Christi.<\/p>\n The project and estimated debottlenecking opportunities stand to add another approximately 5 mtpa of capacity by late 2028.<\/p>\n That would put CCL at over 30 mtpa and Cheniere as a whole at over 60 mtpa.<\/p>\n
