You don&#8217;t gamble on your sport. Period.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-3\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5c\">Sorsby has admitted to gambling on not just college football during his time as a quarterback, but gambling on his own team multiple times. In direct violation of the NCAA&#8217;s laws, Sorsby was stripped of his eligibility by the governing body and turned to the courts for an injunction &#8212; which was irritatingly granted.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-4\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5f\">Tech has transformed from a scrappy underdog to the villains of the college sports world overnight, with programs like <a href=\"https:\/\/lawlessrepublic.com\/ncaa-head-coaches-are-outraged-over-texas-tech-brendan-sorsby-injunction-ruling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Georgia and Nebraska telling their coaches to cancel any scheduled competitions<\/a> against Texas Tech in any sport and several Big 12 teams threatening not to play against the Red Raiders should they continue to play Sorsby.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-5\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5i\">Despite every voice in the nation pleading with Texas Tech to see reason, the university is doubling down and has threatened legal action if the league&#8217;s members took action.<\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-6\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5l\">Undeterred, the conference has decided to sue Texas Tech.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING: The Big 12 has filed a 47-page complaint against Texas Tech and the state of Texas\u2019 Attorney General, seeking a preliminary injunction which would allow the conference to sanction Texas Tech.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint references \u201cpotential sanctions the Board would consider under\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/eXgynOS9ak\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/eXgynOS9ak<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CFB Kings (@CFBKings) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CFBKings\/status\/2066550305345376440?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow\">June 15, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"inline-text-8\" class=\"my-[18px] [&amp;_a]:text-primary my-f-1\" q:key=\"0\" q:id=\"5r\">The league is taking action that could sanction Tech for monetary considerations or an outright ban from the league&#8217;s conference championship game.
